I have been a professional photojournalist, columnist, ad manager, graphic design company small business owner, marketing director, design team supervisor, member of the National Forensic league, the Future Business Leaders of America, YMCA Youth Government and the Boy Scouts of America, and have received numerous awards for work in each. My interests include photography, design, typography, illustration, music composition and lyric writing, all forms of art, creative writing, guitar, piano, climbing, hiking, and mountaineering.

Was solely responsible for a complete newspaper
redesign, from concept design to final production of page templates. Wrote and
implemented new production standards. Performed weekly pagination duties,
laying out over one third of the paper and ensuring structural quality through
page review and edits. Wrote a regionally recognized award-winning weekly
outdoor column and shot and completed layout of an accompanying photo page, acted
as primary Express photographer covering local and regional events, and worked
as Sports Editor, solely responsible for the sports section of the Vernal
Express. Worked as a team with other reporters and editors to ensure
exceptional coverage of critical local and regional events.
